What total BS. Using your logic, the FLAT TAX is also "double taxation" because a lumber company pays tax and then the furniture company is taxed again when a tree is used to make a chair. Income is income, and if you have an income tax, income should be taxed.
The tax code refers to investment income as UNEARNED INCOME for a reason--it's a gamble that is not labor. Capital Gains Tax should be at LEAST as high as the tax on the hours of sweat and tears put in by the waitress, truck driver, teacher, lumberjack, and furniture builder. >> G.
