Amid stories day after day of companies gutting 401(k) matches, here's a good one from Business Week about IBM's 401(k) plan.  They have a dollar-for-dollar 6 percent match, auto-features, and target date index funds.  Going forward, they would like to have a performance-based enhanced contribution for their best employees.

This is exactly the type of forward thinking more companies need to be doing.

When everyone is looking for the exit, look for the entrance (and vice versa).
